Born in the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Philadelphia, John Doppler’s epic journey has spanned nearly five decades and thousands of miles. He is currently in hiding on the Southern California beaches where he washed ashore in 2008.
At various points in his evolution, John has been an artist, a sign language interpreter, a photo processor, a phone psychic, a dot com entrepreneur, a puzzle constructor, an accidental phone sex operator, an animal welfare advocate, and a software application developer.
He has rarely been bored.
By day, John pounds a keyboard for the insurance industry, developing web applications. By night, he confronts evildoers in the darkened alleys of the internet.
And in the spaces between, he writes fiction.
John currently heads the Watchdog Desk for The Alliance of Independent Authors, where he shines a spotlight on the best and worst self-publishing services.
